Manager, Technology Business Management
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic individual with technology and financial management background to assist in our Technology Business Management (TBM) office. This is a hybrid role within the Corporate Finance group supporting IT. The Manager will act as a TBM technical expert and responsible for data gathering, analysis, and modeling.
Responsibilities:
• Complete reconciliations to various systems of record, such as the ledger system, fixed assets, personnel system, project tracking system, and others.
• Partner with IT management and technical personnel to help make recommendations for operational improvements that impact data quality and/or help reduce unit costs.
• Document and troubleshoot data feeds impacting the TBM applications.
• Prepare, analyze, and review financial information for actual, budget and forecast reporting.
• Assist Corporate Finance to ensure consolidated financials are aligned with U.S. GAAP and Sony Pictures Entertainment policies.
• Analyze FP&A flash, actual, budget, and forecast information to develop and support reporting within Apptio Cost Transparency.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required
• Certified RTBMA required, but ETBMA preferred.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure domains including data centers, network/communications, server utilization, virtual environments, cloud, storage, and application development.
• Strong to expert skills and experience in formulaic logic such as MS Excel IF statements, VLOOKUP functions, pivot tables, macros, etc.
• Strong working knowledge of relational database concepts and experience with RDBMS.
• Knowledge of financial management processes and best practices such as budgeting, cost allocations, capital & operating expense handling, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Previous experience with SAP preferred.
• Collaborative, good team player, and ability to flex style and approach.
• Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong accounting / GAAP knowledge.
• Strong follow-through on all projects; ability to bring projects to timely completion.
• Ability to perform tasks with reasonable independence.
• Ability to quickly grasp new concepts.
• Detail-oriented; strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Prepared to work flexible hours to accommodate time zone differences.
• International experience a plus.
