Full Time Job
Primary/Core duties
Job functions include but will not be limited to:
• Write alerts for and pitch contestant in their local markets.
• Liaison to CMV affiliate team.
• To alert affiliates about upcoming local contestants.
• Organize affiliate set visits including assisting with travel arrangements, scheduling elements of the set visit, etc.
• Coordinate all custom promos for each tape session with requestors and production team.
• Supervise crews visiting set and make sure their requests are met.
• Photo Library Management:
• Manage photographer, create shot lists, and prioritize requests
• Organize, make selections, and edit all photos
• Print headshots as needed for production
• Maintain the photo archives
• Fulfill all photo and clip requests made of the department.
• Assist digital team with social media requests, talent requests, and tape day needs.
• Conceptualize other non-talent related pitches for show coverage.
• Assist prize providers with press and social media questions.
• Other tasks as assigned.
Misc duties
• 5 years of professional experience in communications, public relations/publicity or journalism.
• Comfortable calling and interacting with media contacts beyond email communication.
• Flexibility to work beyond the regular business hours when needed.
• Ability to write press materials including releases, alerts and bios; and pitch media outlets.
• Knowledge of local, national and online media outlets.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a creative, team environment and brainstorming new ideas for publicity projects.
• Willingness to attend networking events and off-site functions.
• Willingness to travel to location tapings.
• Computer Proficiency:
• Knowledge of the following computer software: Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc; Adobe Acrobat; Photo Shop.
• Strong working knowledge of social media.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• BA/BS Degree
The anticipated base salary for this position is $109,288 to $142,075. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
