Manager, Licensing
The Licensing Manager is an integral member of the Game Shows Consumer Products Team. The Licensing Manager will build the Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! brands and other gameshow titles, across softlines and hardlines with the goal of exceeding revenue targets and growth objectives. The Manager will act as the key liaison for assigned licensees and product categories, as well work across various departments within Sony.
Core Responsibilities:
• Act as steward for the Game Show brands
• Possess a solid understanding of the licensing industry
• Identify, research, pitch, and secure new business opportunities
• Manage existing licensee portfolio and expand into new categories
• Review licensee proposals and negotiate key business terms
• Analyze quarterly revenue reports and participate in annual forecasting
• Research and understand competitive landscape, consumer trends, and industry needs
• Support VP in everyday responsibilities
• Build strong relationships across the organization
• Maintain and present regular updates and status reports for department meetings
• Liaise with internal teams to assist with process flows and keep approval timelines in line with market trends and company adjustments
• Perform other duties as requested
Requirements:
• Computer Proficient: Office, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet
• BA/BS in business or marketing
• 5+ years of experience working with licensors
• Strong communication skills
• Must be highly organized
• Collaborative within a cross-functional team environment
• Self starter, proactive, dependable and flexible
• Initiative and Highly Motivated: Effectively responds to pressure or crisis situations and acts professionally. Uses resources well. Follows through on assignments and open issues. Must possess a ''can-do'' and ''will-do'' attitude
• Energy Level: Positive energy level and enthusiasm for the iconic Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! brands
• Ability to anticipate issues, be proactive and problem solve
• Familiar with pop culture and current entertainment
Compensation Hiring Range
The anticipated base salary for this position is $94,000 to $100,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
