Manager, Global Creative Advertising
Supporting the VP of Global Creative Advertising, the Manager of Global Creative Advertising will oversee the development of creative print, digital and audio-visual marketing materials for Sony Pictures Home Entertainment with emphasis on catalog titles, acquisitions, international productions, retailer promotions and transactional TV series. The Creative manager will liaise with filmmakers, talent, content partners and cross-divisional/cross-departmental teams as it relates to their creative marketing materials.
The role requires significant flexibility and focus to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously at varying stages of the creative process. They must be proactive, make quick and confident decisions, interpret research, and analyze competitive materials in the marketplace. As an integrated member of the Marketing team, the Manager opines and provides feedback on creative materials for all titles, not just the ones assigned to them, to ensure fresh and innovative creative executions.
Responsibilities include:
• Initiate and monitor development, production, and global distribution of creative materials generated in home office including (but not limited to):
• Key art
• Physical Packaging
• Digital Packaging
• In store signage/displays (POP)
• Specialty items/packaging
• Trailers/TV spots
• Promo reels
• Manage all aspects of the creative process from inception to delivery:
• Supervise art/copy and/or picture/edit revisions with outside agencies.
• Manage production schedules and creative budgets per project.
• Oversee legal, music and MPA clearances of print, digital and A/V material.
• Manage the distribution of creative assets within internal and external departments.
• Oversee the finishing of materials. Aspects include pre-press, approving color correction and retouching, proofing print mechanicals and overseeing/approving audio mixes, video picture, motion graphics and final online edits.
• Oversee delivery, localized execution, and adaptation of downstream assets.
• Collaborate with Brand, Digital & Shopper Marketing on creative direction, scope, budget, and deadlines.
• Present creative materials to senior marketing executives and key stakeholders.
Knowledge of:
• Adobe Creative Suite, MacOS, Microsoft Office
• Marketing campaigns, creative processes, and timelines
• Technical aspects of printing, pre-press, specialty packaging
• Technical aspects of pre/post-production and audio-visual production processes, including offline and online editorial, graphics production, mixing sessions, digital film production
• AV formats in broadcast and digital video, audio, and digital cinema
Ability to:
• Be detail-oriented while considering bigger picture when making decisions.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, with flexibility to quickly reprioritize at a moment's notice.
• Skillfully manage complex projects with a high volume and wide range of deliverables maintaining and adhering to tight schedules and budgets
• Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Required Experience:
• Minimum of 4 years relevant experience (Creative Marketing/ CPG preferred)
• Proven experience in working collaboratively with Marketing teams and external third parties (Filmmakers and talent)
• Experience in direct vendor management
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Experience in creating and developing home entertainment/CPG marketing materials
• Strong planning and project management skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience leading and working cross-functionally
• Adherence to SPE values of Teamwork, Trust, and Innovation
The anticipated base salary for this position is $71,000 to $94,100. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
