Manager, D&I Creative Programming
Sony Pictures Entertainment approaches Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) holistically by focusing efforts on our workforce, workplace, and our marketplace. The Diversity & Inclusion Team, a part of People & Organization, analyzes workforce dynamics, executes initiatives aimed at building a more inclusive workplace culture, connects with media affinity groups with regard to increasing representation on both sides of the camera, and identifies opportunities for inclusion as they touch the businesses of film and television.
The Manager, D&I Creative Programming will support the Vice President with logistical planning and execution of projects. This role will be accountable for ensuring projects are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. The Manager will also be asked to generate schedules, designate project resources, prepare budgets as well as monitor and report on project progress. This person will also be expected to prepare and present progress updates to internal and external executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have production experience, as well as strong work plan development and project management skills.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans.
• Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with various Sony Pictures Entertainment divisions and departments.
• The role requires a confident, self-starting individual who will handle a variety of administrative duties.
• Help craft internal and external communication regarding creative pipeline programs, marketplace outreach as well as internal and external confidential consultation on film and television content.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of professional work experience.
• Must be self-directed, able to work independently, and work co-operatively in a team-oriented setting.
• Ability to constantly multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong work ethic, reliable, mature, professional, positive attitude, and excellent organizational skills.
• Must have strong writing and excellent communication skills.
• Must work well with others and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
• Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Familiarity with film and television production processes.
