IT TV Distribution Business Analysis Trainee, CORP IT – Spring 2023

This Spring Trainee position is from January through May 26th and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Distribution IT team provides global information technology solutions to SPT. SPT licenses movies & TV series to television networks and video on demand platforms in more than 200 territories. SPT's distributes a variety of content -- first-run, off-network and syndicated programs, current theatrical releases and library product – with over 4,000 feature films, from early classics in its Screen Gems collection, to contemporary titles as well as more than 500 television series and 400 telefilms. SPT distribution also licenses light entertainment and scripted formats to broadcasters around the world.

SPT sales teams are based in Los Angeles, Miami, Toronto, London, Hilversum, Paris, Rome, Madrid, Moscow, Munich, Dubai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Sydney.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Business Analysis Trainee will be dedicated to working within Television Distribution IT and serves as an interface to the business users, while assisting the development and Quality Assurance team in understanding the business processes, workflows, and information requirements of the users. The Trainee will primarily be responsible for creating functional stories, test cases, and training documents for key system enhancement requests.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Science, Math, Engineering, Business or Liberal Arts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Works well in a team and individually
• Solid attention to detail
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated interest in Information Technology

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Knowledge of working in an agile environment
• Major in Sciences, Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science
