Global Marketing Trainee - Summer/Fall 2023
SPE TRAINEE

This Summer/Fall Trainee position is from May/June through December 15th and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This is not a remote role. A hybrid work option may or may not be available.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Global Theatrical Marketing team oversees all movie marketing campaigns across all of Sony's labels. The Global Marketing Trainee is a cross-functional, highly collaborative team member focused on supporting the Senior Manager, Brand Management & Global Marketing in campaign and brand management efforts across Sony Pictures' theatrical releases. Collaborating with each department of the Marketing organization, this role helps provide administrative support to the implementation of campaign strategies, executions, and marketing innovation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing & Global Marketing in daily administrative tasks and projects
• Manage updates in Global Marketing resources and databases
• Take notes and participate in all Title Update meetings
• Provide support in organizing and managing screener link and script requests
• Brainstorm marketing campaign ideas and stunts
• Help facilitate screening bookings and attendees list, manage check-in at screening events
• Contribute to Weekly Pop List by researching trending topics, music, movies, and other content included in the newsletter
• Provide support for marketing campaign presentations and pitches
• Ideate and contribute to a long-term project of innovative marketing ideas and present to executive group
QUALIFICATIONS
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Keynote, and Google Workspace apps
• Interest in entertainment business required
• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments to ensure that all tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Must be flexible – able to work in an environment where needs and priorities are subject to much revision
• Common sense, dependability, discretion, and attention to detail are required
• Must be a self-starter with a team player attitude
• Excellent communication skills – written and oral (must have a professional and courteous demeanor)
• Experience in graphic and presentation design preferred
• Experience in script coverage and feedback preferred
The anticipated base salary for this position is $20/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
