Finance Manager, Strategic Procurement Support
The Finance Manager is responsible for validating and tracking savings generated by SPE's procurement team, which currently has over 250 key undertakings in the pipeline. This role plays an independent role and works with the divisional finance teams to correlate the proposed (procurement) savings to the actual financial records (Actuals, budgets and MRP). This role is also responsible for various KPI's to measure the value delivered by Procurement. The manager will initially report directly to the VP of Finance & Global Shared Services. Once the validation and tracking process stabilizes, the Manager will report to the Finance Director.
Responsibilities:
Understand business drivers behind the procurement initiative and establish base
• Understand proposal, customers and timing
• Create savings tracker
• Discussions with Procurement & customers to establish base
Review and communicate savings target
• Review initial savings target with procurement
• Finalize and collectively agree on the savings target with DCFOs
Correlate procurement savings to MRP & Budget, agree with DCFOs and communicate differences
Track actual savings
• Work with procurement to implement KPIs, metrics, and tracking tools - Define savings realization strategy and track progress
• Conduct post implementation meeting to report on savings realization
• Actual savings summarized and agreed to by DCFOs
Ad hoc analysis and reporting
Requirements:
• 4-6 years of related experience
• Bachelors degree
• Knowledge of GAAP, M&E Industry, Procurement Functions
• Critical analytical skills, strong communication skills, strong presentation skills
• Foster an outstanding relationship with customers, peers, and supervisor.
• Must have excellent organizational, project management and analytical skills. Value-centric delivery mindset is a must.
• Analytical / critical thinking - Critical review of data, supporting documentation, customer feedback, and outcome. Ask probing questions to gain insights.
• Problem solving - Work to build a shared understanding of problems, outline the parameters of the initiative, and determine potential solutions.
• Communication & presentation - All analysis and results must be communicated and presented to senior management effectively.
• Strong computer skills - Strong Excel and PowerPoint.
• Independent thinking and the ability to present multiple points of views.
