This is a Part Time Paid Internship

This Fall Internship is from late September through December 13th (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work part-time hours (10-29 a week). Our offices are open Monday through Friday, 9-6 pm. This position is ideal for a student enrolled in an accredited college or university. A hybrid work structure may or may not be available.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Sony Pictures Releasing is the studio's theatrical distribution group and is responsible for the release of feature films from Columbia Pictures, TriStar Pictures, Screen Gems, Sony Pictures Animation, Sony Pictures International Productions, and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions to cinemas around the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate should have a strong interest in learning about the theatrical distribution business and have quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. The intern will work with the team in the area of sales and planning strategy, as well as provide analytics support to our global theatrical sales team.
Responsibilities for the role include analyzing datasets from the division's various database systems to develop market insights, monitoring global release dates and box office performance, and contributing to various research projects At the end of this rotation, the intern will have detailed knowledge of the film distribution business.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Knowledge and passion for film business
• Eager to pursue a career in distribution
• Strong knowledge /experience with analytics and data
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and currently enrolled in the Fall semester
• Experience with Excel and database management
• Interest in international markets
• Flexible and able to prioritize and re-prioritize within fluid situations
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines and working under tight constraints
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
