Performance Media Intern - Fall 2023

These seasonal, paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that allows you to build your resume, experience and develop your skills further. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, and many educational and social networking opportunities.
This Fall Internship is from September through December 15th (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work at least 10-29 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This is not a remote role. A hybrid work option may or may not be available.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Sony Pictures is rethinking Digital Marketing, building a best-in-class data foundation, and launching an in-house Digital Media Buying team. This team will be entrepreneurial at its core: laying the foundation of a new internal marketing function while growing and evolving to support the needs across Sony's Theatrical, Home Entertainment, Streaming & Distribution and Television businesses. All members are expected to come in with a start-up mentality (ambitious, hands-on, etc.) – eager to build the future digital-first workforce of Sony Pictures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Performance Media Intern will be responsible for helping to assist in executing and optimizing performance media campaigns, including campaign setup, activation, pacing, trafficking creatives, and analytics. The Trainee will accomplish these goals by:
• Learning and becoming proficient with SPE's preferred audience platforms (Facebook, DV360, Trade Desk, TikTok, etc.)
• Working alongside SPE performance experts to ensure campaigns are set up and managed properly (paid social, search, programmatic, YouTube, CTV, etc.)
• Assisting Associates and Managers in reporting and ad hoc requests
• Displaying strong communication skills with multiple internal and external agency parties
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Passion and focus on filmed entertainment
• Relevant education or experience in Digital Media/Marketing landscape
• Hands-on execution experience with planning on managing paid social, search, and programmatic campaigns
• Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written
• Web/tech-savvy to monitor and evaluate trending topics and ideas across all performance channels (Programmatic, Social, Connected TV, YouTube, etc.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proficient in Excel with an analytical thought process
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and maintain strong attention to detail
• Work under pressure and with short deadlines across multiple teams with fragmented, vertical (title-by-title) priorities
• Experience with Google Campaign Manager and other third-party tracking solutions desired (not required)
The anticipated base salary for this position is $17/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
