Integrated Brand Marketing Intern, MPG - Fall 2019
The Sony Pictures Entertainment Internship program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These seasonal paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that allow you to build your resume, experience and develop your skills further. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, valuable networking opportunities, and many educational and social opportunities while on the lot. This Summer internship is from September to December. All candidates must be able to work between 20-29 hours.
Brand Strategy & Marketing sits within the theatrical marketing group of Sony Pictures Entertainment. We are responsible for driving 5-year brand strategies for key brands such as Ghostbusters, and for driving cross-company integrated marketing for film, across all Sony divisions: Sony Electronics, Sony Home Entertainment, Sony Pictures Television, Sony Corporate, Sony Music, etc. The core objective is to optimize and grow both our brands and films.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• We are looking for a pro-active individual to work with the SVP of Brand Strategy and Marketing, to create cross-company integrated marketing opportunities for our biggest 2019 and 2020 films.
• This individual will work across all Sony divisions, including: Sony Electronics, Sony Home Entertainment, Sony Pictures Television, Sony Corporate and Sony Music.
• They will help the SVP execute film IP specific programs at retail, with Television, music, etc.
• They will be an integral part of brainstorming new integrated marketing ideas/approaches/concepts for key films.
• Day-to-day responsibilities will include: participating in cross-company meetings, writing-up notes and next steps to that projects move forward, tracking and delivering assets, ensure the multitude of teams are kept informed as objectives or programs evolve, asking questions and learning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proactive, can-do attitude
• Attention to detail
• Must be open to work in a team setting
• Proficient at keynote is a plus
• Must have previous Marketing internships/experience
• Analytical background is a plus
• Open to provide Marketing and Theatrical feedback
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Undergraduate student studying in relevant field
