Executive Director, Global Talent Acquisition

About the role: Sony Pictures Entertainment has an immediate opening for a dynamic, experienced Executive Director, Global Talent Acquisition. This role will lead the delivery of talent acquisition services for all lines-of-business across SPE. This position will develop, memorialize and maintain all operational processes associated with talent acquisition (TA). They will also lead a team of TA professionals which includes our US based full cycle recruiters, sourcers and TA support staff as well as direct any seasonal contract recruiter(s) and / or temporary staff that is brought on during spikes in volume. This role will also lead the analysis and delivery of key TA metrics and insights on a quarterly and annual basis. Additionally, the selected candidate will maintain the relationship with our on-site Managed Service Provider (MSP) which handles SPE's contingent workforce as well as the technology we use to track the contingent workforce.
The Executive Director, Global Talent Acquisition must possess the vision and experience necessary to define a domestic talent acquisition strategy, as well as the operational expertise to optimize each moment in the recruiting lifecycle. This role will require an equal balance of analytic, results-driven, and human-centric skills, combining the ability to synthesize TA data into a compelling narrative, while also effectively communicating, engaging, influencing, and partnering with key stakeholders across the organization. This person will collaborate closely with hiring leaders, HR partners and leverage the tools and resources required to attract and select top talent.
This role reports into the Vice President, Global Talent Acquisition and is part of the People & Organization (P&O) team and will be based at our Culver City, CA studio headquarters.
Responsibilities:
• Drive best and next practice discussions to ensure SPE is applying the best talent acquisition methodologies yielding efficient results in a high touch environment
• Conduct regular reviews of departmental processes and procedures to ensure an efficient recruiter, business partner, hiring manager and candidate experience
• Understand business objectives and translate those objectives into talent needs and a hiring plan
• Provide overall leadership for a team of TA professionals and act as a strong role model, providing mentorship and motivation for growth while driving a high level of performance against our hiring plans
• Collaborate with P&O colleagues to build a data-driven organization with evolving recruiting metrics and analytics that provide insights
• Direct, empower and develop staff, improving individual contributions and supporting professional growth
• Effectively leading all aspects of our contingent staffing providers and technologies, making recommendations for improvement or enhancement when needed
• Partner with Workforce Analytics and IT to package a compelling set of TA focused metrics and insights to deliver to P&O leadership on a regular cadence
• Strategic point-of-contact for several key talent acquisition relationships, which includes our LinkedIn relationship, our career portal vendor and other sourcing tools and TA vendors
• Talent Acquisition liaison with P&O Operations team as it relates to reporting and compliance
• High touch full-cycle recruiting on select executive searches on a frequent basis
Requirements:
• Position requires at least 10-12 + years of corporate talent acquisition experience, preferably in a global Fortune 500 organization and/or in the Media / Entertainment industry
• 5-7 years of leading and inspiring a team of talent acquisition professionals
• At least 5 years of supervising complex vendor relationships, in particular within the temporary / contingent staffing space
• Proven analytical skills, with a keen eye for metrics, data and reporting
• Solid knowledge of applicant tracking systems, Workday knowledge preferred
• Global perspective with the ability to successfully adapt to a continuously growing and changing environment
• Requires an eye for process, structure and a technical proclivity
• Strong interpersonal skills and independent judgment in prioritizing tasks to meet or exceed deadlines in an ambiguous, constantly evolving environment
• Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously while remaining effective in both a structured and ambiguous environment
• Keen attention to detail, efficient and highly organized; articulate both written and verbally
• Inclination towards organization design, development, and workforce planning principles
• The ability to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
• Knowledge of OFCCP compliance
• Prefer BS degree or equivalent years of work experience
