This Summer/Fall Trainee position is from May/June through December 13th and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This position is ideal for recent graduates or entry-level talent interested in jump-starting their career in a particular field. A hybrid work structure may or may not be available.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
North American Distribution Research is a dynamic and data-driven team that supports the distribution and monetization of film and television content in the U.S. and Canada. Distribution Research spans all platforms of television: Network, Cable, Broadcast Syndication, SVOD, AVOD, transactional, and other digital platforms. This role is physically located in New York but will provide support for SPT business efforts across North America.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain and update daily/weekly/monthly data trackings
• Run reports using multiple data tools and applications
• Collect, consolidate, and analyze data from multiple sources
• Grow to deliver verbal and written insights to team and clients
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to work 40 hours a week during the Summer and Fall seasons
• Relevant experience in research, data, and running reports in Excel
• Interest in television content and the television industry
• Solid Excel capabilities
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
• Comfort with data and basic mathematical functions
• A willingness to learn data tools and the process for analysis
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong communication skills
• Effective time-management skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Curiosity for data and analytics
• Familiarity with television data, particularly Nielsen ratings
The anticipated base salary for this position is $22/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
