Director Process Improvement, Finance Transformation
Scope:
This new role will report directly to the Senior Vice President, Finance Transformation, based in Culver City, CA. They will play a key role in transforming the global finance function at Sony Pictures; including driving the optimization of processes across the function and helping to redefine how Finance supports the business in achieving near-term and long-term objectives. This role will work side-by-side with Senior finance leadership including the Divisional CFO's, Finance Operations team, and IT in designing and delivering efficient business processes. Driving some of the most critical pieces of the finance transformation, this role will have a significant impact on the company's operations. This is a two-year role, with the opportunity for possible extension or transfer to another group at the end of the term.
Key activities for this position will include:
• Understanding and analyzing current business processes across finance
• Making recommendations to business process changes based on experience, analysis, best practices and feedback
• Working with cross functional teams to align opportunities for improvement
• Designing complex processes and ensuring process mapping is complete
• Understanding and recommending system changes to deliver process improvements
• Building a roadmap and prioritizing process changes to implement based on cost benefit analysis, dependencies with other initiatives or systems, and organizational bandwidth
• Developing performance metrics to measure the impact of implemented process changes successes
• Participating in change management activities associated with process improvement, engaging leadership and stakeholders to obtain support and buy in for a change

• Serve as an internal consultant / advisor to leadership
• Be comfortable working with and manipulating large data sets across multiple systems
• Work in an agile way, adjusting priorities, timelines, etc. as things change across projects
Job Requirements:
• Significant experience in process design, process engineering, process mapping and process improvement
• Experience with automation and system enhancement or implementation
• Ability to understand and navigate through multiple business functions
• Track record of delivering high-impact and measurable results
• Excellent management, decision-making and interpersonal skills
• Strategic and pragmatic with the ability to carry an idea through execution
• Self-motivated with high standards
• Demonstrates executive presence
• 7 years work experience in process improvement or process engineering
• Understanding of financial processes preferred
• CPA, MBA, an/or experience in management consulting preferred
• Finance, Accounting, or Business degree preferred
• Experience with Agile/Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen or other approaches preferred
