Director, International Theatrical Finance
The International Theatrical Finance team manages all financial planning, analysis, and accounting for the international territories. The Director of International Theatrical Finance will be involved in the annual MRP, Division Budget, quarterly forecasts and other financial reporting cycles. The position will work closely with the different SPRI groups by being part of a group that will deliver a high performing and agile FP&A function. The Director will also collaborate with Corporate and other SPE Lines of Business.
The Director will report to the SPRI Vice President, Accounting and Finance.
Responsibilities
Budgeting/Forecasting & Accounting Support:
• Responsible for the MRP, budget and forecast analysis of the international titles including revenues, marketing expenses, prints, and other releasing costs.
• Perform and/or review monthly accruals for title revenues and marketing, print, and other expenses.
• Review monthly title and cash information posted by the Shared Service team.
• Coordinate and review territory submissions for Tax, audit, and Corporate requests and monthly/quarterly reporting
• Utilize Excel modeling skills to update various forecasting models.
• Run queries and prepare SAP and Excel reports for ad hoc requests from Operations, Corporate, and other lines of business
• Lead various projects geared towards overall improvements in the Financial Planning & Analysis Organization.
• Responsible for the tracking of by-title Ultimate's and related management reporting.
Global Overhead budget and forecasting:
• Responsible for the MRP, budget and forecasting procedures around worldwide overhead, headcount, as well as detail review of territory overhead budget and forecast submissions.
• Responsible for preparing and/or review WW overhead reconciliations, providing variance explanations, and overhead management reporting.
Operational and other support
• Act as a business partner to the SPRI management team and support them in their decision-making processes.
• Develop and retain knowledge in the theatrical business performance and financial drivers to advise on key business planning assumptions & opportunities.
• Create, maintain and report on key theatrical distribution business metrics to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Develop and manage a professional staff, including providing support to the team to help resolve issues, offer oversight, and direction towards goals & objectives
• Partner with Sales & Operations teams, the IT teams, as well as the international territories to set ultimate targets and improve operating contribution margins.
Requirements
• 10 years Finance experience
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills combined with a solid business and financial acumen.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, financial processes and financial systems including general FPA requirements
• Strong technical skills: Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, Macros etc.), Word, PowerPoint and SAP/BW
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate financial information to various business audiences to drive decision making
• Demonstrated ability to persuasively present complex business issues and solutions, clearly and concisely
• Ability to build strong relationships with senior management and be a trusted and reliable source of information, analysis and support
• Demonstrated ability to persuasively present complex business issues and solutions, clearly and concisely as well as drive projects from beginning to end.
• Excellent attention to detail required.
