Director, International Analytics and Insights
The Director of International Marketing Analytics & Insights serves as a key strategic leader and primary point of contact for a newly established international arm of the Marketing Analytics team. The International Analytics function provides data-driven insights that fuel campaign strategies and tactics in key international markets for Marketing & Distribution. The Director will work with the business to assess needs as the team grows and will serve as a primary voice in communicating insights as needed to home office and local market executives. Additionally, he/she will oversee international projects, vendors & analysts, and collaborate closely with Domestic Analytics colleagues to align on relevant capabilities to ensure global consistency of methodology and communication.
The primary job responsibilities include:
• International Analytics & Reporting Lead – Serve as primary point of contact for assessing business questions & needs (including attending key international meetings), coordinating analysis with Analytics team, and communicating to key stakeholders in the home office and in key international markets.
• Project & Team Management – Manage team's international project priorities, dictate process & workflow, communicate with vendors, and mentor Analysts dedicated to international initiatives.
• Social Listening (Buzz Monitoring) – Lead international social listening analysis on trailers and other campaign milestones, ensuring relevant domestic methodologies are integrated where possible. Take initiative to enhance existing reports and processes, while exploring new data, vendors and methodologies. Identify areas where support using internal teams, tools and translation are feasible.
• Production, IP & Audience Insights – Assist analysis of potential target audiences (consumer behaviors & affinities) and film franchises (fanbase psychographics & conversation), extracting international insights to drive early strategic planning for both Marketing & Production/Greenlight use cases.
• International Data & Data Science Strategy – Assist the strategic expansion of the team's quantitative international analytics practice, including assessing current and future data needs, identifying metrics that matter, and shaping reporting & data science priorities based on feasibility and market needs. This includes coordination with international social and media teams to align reporting methodologies with current domestic approach while exploring new opportunities.
• Executive & Int'l Market Communication – Manage day-to-day communication of findings and insights to internal marketing teams and integrate feedback into the team's approach to each campaign. Includes attending international marketing meetings and building relationships with key home office and local market executives. Responsible for understanding the state of each campaign in key markets, and tailoring delivery of actionable insights to stakeholders.
The Director of International Marketing Analytics & Insights must have a track record and expertise in analytics, consumer insights or social listening. Experience in the International marketing, research or analytics is preferred-understanding cultural nuances and framing data into insightful global reporting requires a grasp on the global marketplace.
Knowledge of:
• Digital Media, Social Media & Marketing Strategies, including an understanding of the unique and quickly changing data-driven marketing landscape
• Knowledge of digital/social media marketing landscape, including familiarity with insights platforms, media speak (key performance metrics, platforms).
• Evolving film distribution landscape and potential impact on data, predictive modeling and marketing strategies.
• Top Social Listening platforms (Brandwatch, Sysomos, Netbase, Sprinklr), Google/YouTube/Search Analytics
• Understanding of basic statistical concepts like correlations, regressions.
• Basic research methodologies (brand tracking, sampling techniques, questionnaire design, study design)
• Key social and digital metrics, platforms and tools, including an understanding of the required nuances when applying them in different international markets.
• Familiarity with common practices and trends in the movie marketing space a major plus
• Agency or Studio experience a plus
Skill In:
• Excellent written communication, oral communication, presentation, and team building skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with strong understanding of Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
• Passionate, committed with a high level of energy
• Intermediate abilities with visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI.
• Must have an open communication style which takes into account managing expectations with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications:
• Bachelors or Masters degree in related field
• 5-7 years of specialty experience
• 4+ years in the entertainment industry
• 1+ years of managerial experience
The anticipated base salary for this position is $128,100 to $171,300. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
