Director, Enterprise Consolidation & Financial Reporting
Summary
Sony Pictures Entertainment's Enterprise Financial Reporting group is seeking a talented Director to join the team. The Director of Enterprise Consolidation & Financial Reporting is responsible for directing the monthly consolidation of SPE's financial results and management reporting. This position works closely w ith the SPE divisional finance groups to ensure timely, accurate and complete reporting of financial information including the preparation of SPE quarterly and annual financial disclosure forms.
Core Responsibilities
• Coordinate and communicate with the divisional finance groups to ensure timely, accurate, and complete reporting of financial information
• Direct SPE's consolidation process and effectively manage tight deadlines
• Analyze consolidated and divisional financial results, including operating results, balance sheet fluctuations and cash flow
• Correspond with SCA and assist in the interpretation of Sony Pictures Entertainment's financial results
• Responsible for assisting with the preparation of SPE's financial submission to Sony Tokyo
• Perform review of financial schedules and executive summary (e.g., Controller's Meeting Package, SPE Management Book, etc.)
• Assist with the preparation and review of SPE's submission of financials and disclosure forms reqed by SCA and Sony Corporation
• Communicate with SCA and Sony Corporation and respond to inquiries regarding SPE's financial results
• Lead special projects (e.g., SAP enhancements, Further alignment of SPE Chart of Accounts and rollforward activities with Sony Corp Tango consolidation system, IFRS changes, etc.)
• Coordinate information and prepare responses to periodic requests for financial information made by Legal, Executive Management, SCA and Sony Corporate
• Manage system administration, including evaluating changes to SAP, BPC and Tango (consolidation systems) accounts and profit center hierarchy Update and maintain Tango application for SPE's monthly financial submission to Sony Corporate
Education
/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required
• 6 to 10+ years of experience
• Public accounting experience required
• Entertainment experience preferred
• Hands-on and detail oriented
• A curious problem solver with the ability to simplify the complex
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Experience analyzing financial information
• Flexibility and self starter with a positive attitude and ability to work independently
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a challenging, fast paced environment
• Very strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Experience with SAP S/4 and BW/BPC11.1 (preferred)
