Director, Brand Partnerships - TV Studio
The Director of Brand Partnerships for Sony Pictures Television Studios (SPTS) will be responsible for co-leading all aspects of partner management and product development tied to branded content, partnerships, and other licensing initiatives across the SPT slate. Reporting to the VP, Brand Strategy & Partnerships for SPT Studios, the Director will be charged with developing go-to-market strategies and promotions while working closely with cross-functional teams on alignment and execution.
Responsibilities:
• Secure partnerships with brands that will elevate identity, equity and profitability of our IP in the marketplace for both endemic and non-endemic verticals and strategize on key targets to grow new business and key company initiatives
• Direct and manage the development of short-term and long-term strategies for licensing activities tied to emerging digital initiatives
• Oversee project lifecycles from conception through development to delivery
• Cultivate and grow strong relationships while managing complex ecosystem of stakeholders both internally within SPTS organization and externally including clients, network counterparts and producers/production
• Contribute to a team-oriented culture by collaborating with extended franchise marketing team to ensure consistency and alignment across all social, digital and brand marketing efforts
• Leverage current SPTS growing digital multi-platform presence on social media, YouTube, newsletters, etc. to deliver integrated, promotional campaigns for clients
• Conduct regular business and finance reviews with licensees to ensure all business opportunities are explored and all payments are reported and received in a timely manner
• Consult with research team for pre-sales and post-sales efforts from crafting data points to bolster sales pitches to identifying key metrics to track performance and ROI
• Stay current with industry trends through market research and networking opportunities and events
• Engage across the Sony Pictures Entertainment organization to increase visibility and value of the SPTS brand to drive additional revenue opportunities
Qualifications
• Minimum 8+ years entertainment or marketing experience required with a focus on entertainment partnerships, licensing, and digital initiatives
• BA/BS degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent work experience required
• Requires an experienced leader who is willing to roll up their sleeves and excel in an entrepreneurial environment
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills with a knack for storytelling
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to multitask and balance a demanding workload
• Successful experience interacting with production, sales, clients and agency partners with a kind-yet-assertive nature
• Sound understanding of marketing principles
• Self motivated, self starter with business savvy acumen
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and follow-up
• Ability to work under pressure, communicate effectively and meet deadlines
• Comfortable with ambiguity and embracing fluidity and change
