Data Analytics Manager, Strategic Marketing & Research
Context:
This London-based position will play an important role in extending the capabilities and reach of our Los Angeles-based international research and strategy team, whose goal is to guide marketing messaging and tactics on all SPE titles internationally. Responsibilities will include the aggregation, organization, analysis and communication of international research data, supporting quantitative and qualitative creative testing on SPE titles, coordinating localization of materials, reviewing questionnaires and discussion guides in conjunction with partner agencies, editing reports and reporting findings to the respective teams, leading or supporting on ad hoc and custom studies and analysis, and participating in conference calls with relevant agencies and the Home / Local teams, as well as incorporating findings into broader strategy and positioning.
Core Responsibilities
• 50% - The candidate will work closely with the full Los Angeles team on international research data projects, with the goal of organizing documents and communicating a foundational interpretation of each week's tracking to Los Angeles team at the start of their day. The position requires a high level of understanding of research data and professionalism. The candidate will help manage document flow, including creating and maintaining files (electronic and hard copy). These reports and analysis created by this candidate will be shared with top marketing executives and where applicable, production executive and filmmakers as well.
• 50% - The candidate will work intimately with the VP, Executive Director, Director, and Analyst within the team, supporting on creative testing, ad hoc analysis, and custom studies. Ensure that high research standards are met in terms of study design, sample selection, questionnaire development, data analysis, and report generation by performing quality assurance checks. One of the goals of this position should be to progress projects prior to the start of the Los Angeles day. Periodically, this person may join Los Angeles executives at focus groups within Europe.
Candidate requirements:
Suitable candidates will typically have previous experience within a similar role and industry, along with the following:
Knowledge of:
• Individual must possess extreme proficiency in written and quantitative skills
• Extremely strong working knowledge of movie marketing and creative advertising process.
• SPSS/ Regression Analysis and Multivariate statistics are helpful.
Skill In:
• Extremely strong writing and analytical skills.
• Quantitative and Qualitative research background, with some exposure to film tracking is a must.
• Familiarity with methodologies and the latest approaches to Ad Testing, Branding and Positioning.
• Presentation design / deck building skills highly desired.
• Some experience with Tableau highly desired.
Ability To:
• Extremely strong communication with ability to work independently.
• Must be detailed-oriented and able to juggle multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and oral communication as well as presentation skills.
• Some travel, largely within Europe, may be required.
