Coordinator, Production Operations - New Release TV
Job Summary
Position will liaise directly with productions, vendors and internal /external clients to coordinate and manufacture content for distribution. Core responsibilities: New Release Television Title management, digital video & audio asset management and processing for digital delivery / ingest to Sony digital distribution systems. Title management also to include ''Next Day'' clients both domestically and internationally.
Responsible for reviewing, tracking and coordinating the manufacture and delivery of materials/assets to be ingested into Sony digital distribution systems. Materials including but not limited to: Picture, Audio and Closed Captioned/Subtitle content.
Advise clients and internal/external vendors on the fulfillment of materials/assets. When fulfillment issues arise, find solutions and escalate to Department Manager for mitigation.
Responsible for timely data entry, integrity and accuracy when entering data into our proprietary systems to ensure the highest quality inventory and data. Position will provide technical knowledge of video / audio / subtitling post production processes.
Assist management with special projects and review of standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities
• Working closely with the Manager, facilitate the day-to-day activities of manufacturing and servicing to ensure that materials (audio, subtitles, closed caption files, etc.) are delivered per client's requests, as well as ingested into Sony digital distribution systems. Analyze requests in order to fulfill obligations regarding materials for all SPE and acquired TV programming. Escalate when material delivery issues arise (rejections, manufacturing delays, etc.) and provide corrective action as needed.
• Maintain all servicing activity on designated SPE tracking system in order to track status of clients' deliverables. Analyze quality management metrics for assigned markets (on time delivery vs. missed deadlines, amount of product manufactured by primary vendors vs. vendor rejection rate, specific rejection issues etc.) coordinate the collection of these metrics and advise management on recommendations for improvement. Responsible for timely data entry, integrity and accuracy when entering data into our proprietary systems to ensure the highest quality inventory and data.
• Resolve technical issues such as rejections and digital delivery issues. Leverages available systems and technology to ensure asset preparation, servicing & archive of materials is performed in the most efficient & cost-effective manner. When fulfillment issues arise, find solutions and work with Department Manager to improve processes. Continually enhance & improve skills through on-going process and systems training. Attend necessary technical and process informational sessions.
• Special Initiatives - Support and, as required, participate in internal and external matrix teams who are involved in special initiatives and projects, which can include: Information Sessions, Management Presentations, team building exercises, cross training, staff development, etc.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
1 year managing a team of staff. 2 years Sales Services (or equivalent) experience
Knowledge of:
• Video, Audio or Subtitle (at least one) post production processes, rejection resolution, digital delivery
• Experience working within the film and video industry with responsibility for technical management of video, subtitles and/or audio
• Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project Management
• Microsoft Outlook
