Summary
Facilitate sales efforts for a hardlines category director, an international licensing Vice President and Director, a softlines category Director, SVP of category and the retail development team with research, presentations, pitch materials, deal memo processing, finance processing and forecasting.
Responsibilities
• Gathers licensing and promotional deal points and enters deal memo information into system
• Provides weekly contract status to key stakeholders.
• Identifies any outstanding information and issues to the appropriate category lead for contract processing
• Coordinate materials for licensee and retail pitches
• Supports category department with event planning and meeting management for conferences and trade shows
• Monitor competitive brands and properties, and keep up to date on industry trends, retail environment, innovative practices and new marketing opportunities
• Evaluate prospective licensees by gathering all relevant information and reviewing with appropriate Licensing Director(s).
• Review licensees' reporting and analytics while working with IT and Finance teams to help troubleshoot issues.
• Assist with presentation building for retail and licensee meetings across all categories and regions
• Help to confirm property rights for creative assets, product categories, talent, and franchises for existing licensees as well as assist with the development of sales pitch materials for prospective licensing opportunities.
• Assists in vendor set-up, PO creation and invoicing for team
• Manage T&E and calendars for category department
• Manage and organize department dashboards, newsletters, and reports
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience
• Handle multiple priorities at once, manage time effectively and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
• High-energy, active approach in both managing/pushing existing partners to success and identifying new opportunities
• Demonstrated ability to work on a diverse scope of projects requiring detailed analysis, creative/practical problem solving, and sound judgment
• Ability to operate and communicate effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
• Knowledge of and relationships in the licensing/retail industry a plus
• Analytical capabilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Very strong Powerpoint and/or Keynote proficiency, skillful at generating presentations that are impactful
