Compliance TQC Editor
General Summary:
The Compliance TQC Editor is responsible for evaluating linear and non-linear content to ensure regulatory compliance within the different regions assigned and is responsible for the technical evaluation process (TQC). This includes copying, editing and compilation of the film material (films and series and short formats) according to SPT standards to be broadcasted, distributed in multiple platforms, and shared with multiple departments.
Core responsibilities
• Evaluate linear and non-linear content (films, TV series) according to predefined standards and ensure quality to SPE's standards and deliver content compliant and risk-free for SPT platforms.
• Perform technical evaluations and the copying of film material (films, series and / or short formats) for different platforms.
• Perform the preparation of material for automation
• Prepare compliance reports, listing justifications for assigned age ratings and content advice.
• Complete ad hoc tasks as requested by Compliance Manager
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Basic to intermediate English is a must.
• Able to review content and apply a compliance standpoint, not a personal position
• Expertise in technical quality control for video/audio.
• Effective time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and accomplish deadlines.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Understanding of digital media technologies such as encoding standards and tools, automated quality control, asset delivery, ''tapeless'' environment.
• Aptitude for learning new technology and software
• Ability to review content onscreen for long periods without losing concentration
Experience
• Experience in a quality assurance role/department within a broadcast/VOD environment of at least 1 year.
• Experience of working to deadlines, often with a tight turnaround period.
• Some understanding of digital media technologies including, encoding standards and tools, automated quality control tools.
Education
• Technical degree in media production, Media Technology and or/equivalent experience.
