Associate HR Business Partner (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)
Please note that this role is based in the United Kingdom. In order to enable us to meet statutory and regulatory obligations of the United Kingdom immigration system you must have the appropriate immigration permission needed to work and reside in the United Kingdom.
The People & Organisation Department provides services to approximately 1200 employees across Europe . This includes organisational support, recruitment and selection, employee relations, learning and organisational development and employee reward .
This role provides generalist P&O support for the UK & Ireland business (approx 500 employees).
The Associate Business Partner, will assist the P&O Director/ Head of Compensation & Benefits in provi d ing a comprehensive P&O Service to the four areas of Sony Pictures Entertainment: Television , Home Entertainment, Theatrical and Corporate together with the Global Tax Office/GIS&P and all Joint Ventures in these regions. The Associate Business provides direct business support, advice and coaching.
Specifically this will involve:
Employee Relations :
• Provide advice on all ER issues in line with Company Policy and Procedure
• Redundancy meetings, as required.
• Administration of redundancy process including preparing documentation, interface with payroll , checking the return of Sony Pictures Entertainment assets and keeping track of important dates/meetings/numbers during the process via the redundancy log .
• Manage flexible working request applications including organizing
meetings, preparing the documentation and conducting the meetings where required.
• Meet with all employees at all levels to advice on maternity/paternity/adoption/shared parental
leave policy.
• Perform SPE induction presentations for all levels with Associate Business Partner, Reward &
Inclusion on a monthly basis
• Perform GTO/GISP induction for all new employees as required.
• Provide advice on performance and Talent Management process
Systems Database / Management Info
• Execute on Data Protection Activity
• Responsible for maintenance of files & records/correspondence
• Back up Workday expert
Compensation/Benefits:
• Meet with Senior Analyst, Payroll & HRIS EMEA on monthly basis to ensure accurate payroll information.
• Liaise with Senior Analyst, Payroll & HRIS EMEA on matters relating to holiday entitlement, benefits and administer maternity, paternity leave and shared parental leave letters .
• Liaise with Senior Analyst, Payroll & HRIS EMEA on matters relating to ASPIRE and Salary Review Process. Assist with issuing salary, promotion letters.
General Administration:
• Preparation of consultancy agreements alongside Recruitment Specialist where required.
• Administration around JV ' s, including contracts, correspondence, maintaining files etc.
• Prepare and issue Global Tax Office and GIS&P contracts
Other:
• Support on One Sony Initiatives
• Bi monthly family friendly sessions available to all employees, including maternity, paternity, shared parental leave, parental leave and flexible working policies
• P&O monthly department drop in sessions – rotate to each division, include floor walk. Session includes/focus on C3, Sickness, UK policies and any other general P&O advice.
• Maternity coaching for managers
• Ad hoc projects that may arise
• Other duties as is reasonably requested
Core Responsibilities
30% - Providing employee and management advice on P&O issues including Employee Relations .
70% - Provide day to day support to the P&O Director & Head of Compensation & Benefits on general administration.
Job Requirements
• This position is seen as a key role in facilitating an efficient P&O Department to all internal and external clients
• The candidate will need to have a proactive approach, act at all times in a confidential manner and have excellent people skills
• Typically 3-5 years experience in an advisory capacity with previous experience within a HR administration/co-ordination role
• Client service skills, organisational skills and time/project management skills essential
• A willingness to develop legislative knowledge & numeracy/analysis skills
