APAC TV Distribution Finance Manager

Based in our Singapore office, the Finance Manager will support the commercial teams across Korea, Southeast Asia and India by providing financial analysis, planning support and business partnering for Sony Pictures Television Distribution (TVD) and Home Entertainment.
Working closely with Sales, Sales Planning, Regional FP&A and global finance teams, this role helps deliver accurate forecasting, meaningful commercial insights and financial decision support. It is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional looking to broaden their regional experience within an international entertainment business.
As the hiring manager is based outside Singapore, this role is well suited to someone who is proactive, organised and comfortable managing priorities independently while maintaining regular communication with stakeholders across multiple markets and time zones.
What you will do:
Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting (35%)
• Support budgets, quarterly forecasts and long-range plans (MRPs) for TV Distribution and Home Entertainment.
• Assist with territory forecasting, working with Sales and Sales Planning to build forecasts based on commercial assumptions and key drivers.
• Maintain territory forecasts and planning submissions through SAP BPC, developing an understanding of Sales Planning systems (including RPM) so forecasts reflect commercial plans.
• Keep forecast assumptions and supporting schedules up to date, ensuring documentation is clear and aligned across Finance and Commercial stakeholders.
• Prepare planning submissions and forecast outputs for Regional FP&A and Home Office Finance.
Business Performance, Insights & Regional FP&A Support (25%)
• Analyse territory financial performance and explain the key drivers behind revenue and contribution forecast variances.
• Build understanding of customer, title and market performance to identify commercial trends and opportunities.
• Provide commentary, analysis and business insights to support Regional FP&A deliverables, forecast reviews and Home Office Finance requests.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and visualisations using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and other reporting tools to support decision making.
• Highlight risks and opportunities, providing timely insight and recommendations to Territory Leadership and Regional Finance.
Commercial Business Partnering & Decision Support (20%)
• Partner with Sales and Sales Planning teams to provide financial analysis that supports commercial decision making.
• Prepare financial models and scenario analysis for customer opportunities and business initiatives.
• Support new commercial initiatives and evolving distribution opportunities across APAC.
• Coordinate finance queries with specialist teams including RTR, OTC, PTP, Tax and Statutory Finance to ensure timely resolution.
• Build strong working relationships across Finance and Commercial teams to support business objectives.
Controls and Governance (10%)
• Maintain effective financial controls across planning, forecasting and reporting processes.
• Support compliance with Sony accounting policies, US GAAP and internal governance requirements.
• Partner with RTR, PTP, OTC, Tax, Statutory and Home Office Finance teams to help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Identify financial risks, data quality issues and process improvement opportunities, escalating where appropriate.
Projects, Reporting Innovation & Continuous Improvement (10%)
• Contribute to continuous improvement through standardisation, automation and digital finance tools.
• Help leverage SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), AI and advanced analytics to improve planning, reporting and business insights.
• Support implementation of finance systems, planning enhancements and reporting capabilities across APAC.
• Assist with regional and global finance transformation initiatives.
What you need:
Education
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred.
Technical Skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with data visualisation tools.
Experience
• 5–8 years' experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Finance Analysis or Finance Business Partnering.
Supervisory Responsibility
• No direct reports.
Fiscal Responsibility
• No direct budget ownership; supports planning and reporting within the territory.

• Curiosity and a willingness to learn new systems, technologies and ways of working.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
