Administrative Assistant II, Animation Legal
The Sony Pictures Animation Legal Affairs team has an open Administrative Assistant II role in their Culver City offices. The role supports a Senior Vice President and team of attorneys while performing a variety of administrative duties, including coordinating a busy calendar, filing and other administrative duties. The applicant must have strong computer skills and be able to complete administrative tasks effectively as well as develop innovative ways to solve any problems that may arise. The applicant must possess exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills as well as have the ability to multi-task and prioritize to ensure that all assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Discretion and attention to detail are a must. Legal or Business Affairs administrative experience with a law firm or major studio is preferred.
Responsibilities
• Managing document flow, including creating and maintaining paper and electronic files
• Word processing (both Word and Adobe)
• Handling phone calls
• Gathering required paperwork from talent for agreement and payment processing
• Handle execution, distribution, follow-up and filing of agreements
• Updating databases and lists
• Maintain detailed status reports
• Scheduling meetings and handling calendar
• Proofreading and editing
• Processing expense reports
• Other general administrative duties (processing mail, copying, etc.)
• Miscellaneous duties as required
Qualifications
• At least 3 years' experience as a legal or business affairs assistant
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and Google Suites)
• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize to ensure that all assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Must be able to meet deadlines
• Must be flexible – an ability to work well in an environment where needs and priorities are subject to revision
• Dependability, discretion and attention to detail are required
• Must be a self-starter with a team-player attitude
• Excellent communication skills – written and oral (must have a professional and courteous demeanor)
Additional Notes
• This position is currently located at Sony Pictures studio in Culver City, CA but may be relocated to offices in mid-Wilshire
• This position is currently a hybrid work environment with both in-office and remote workdays, it is not a fully remote position
• Candidate must be comfortable around a service dog
The anticipated base salary for this position is $54,200 to $71,100. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
