Full Time Job
The Video Engineer is responsible for digitization, ingestion, encoding, quality control, and delivery of short form, long form and broadcast video content. This person must be highly organized with sharp visual and auditory focus and great attention to detail. Video editing experience and knowledge of digital video/audio quality and technical issues is required as the Engineer will be tasked with prescreen quality control. Must have a good sense of team player principles, open and clear communication skills, ability to both self-manage as well as take direction from senior staff. Needs to work closely with Video Team Lead on team support, workflow design and development, and systems applications support.
Key skills include video/audio capture and encoding, film and digital video hardware and formats, pop culture knowledge, basic music and song structure and general corporate office environment IT/ network understanding.

Responsibilities
• Encoding short form and long form video from tape or file based formats through software or hardware video capture device.
• Detailed quality control.
• Migration of assets into the asset management system.
• Clip identification (first verse, chorus, etc.).
• Creation of Long Form, Online, and Broadcast deliverables.
• Tracking and logging work through a web-based work request system.
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in video engineering/editing/post production and/or a degree from an accredited media engineering school with appropriate training certification.
• Knowledge of system messaging and metadata.
• Troubleshooting experience.
• General knowledge of pop culture required for keyword data entry.
• General knowledge of film, digital video and digital audio.
• General knowledge of digital compression formats/techniques.
• General knowledge in the following applications:
• Video editors (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
• Digital asset management applications and processes.
• Video encoding systems (Compressor, Harmonic Coder, Adobe Media Encoder).
• FTP/SFTP.
• Microsoft: Word, Excel, Outlook
• Efficiency and organizational skills a must to handle large priority lists and status updates.
• Must be extremely detail oriented and focused to catch all video/audio errors.
• Good grasp of song structure a must for efficient clip point creation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work with others.
