Overview
We need you to bring your vision and passion to a team dedicated to reimagining music through immersive media. The Technical Director will play a key role in leading technical development requirements for immersive media content creation.
Responsibilities
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of modern video game development technology, architecture, optimization and process.
• Determine technologies best-suited for product and expertly identify and understand their strengths and weaknesses.
• Ensure product is built with productive technical methodologies and coding practices.
• Identify technical risks and develop contingency plans to keep both team and product development on track and operational at all times.
• Build and manage a technical team of driven experts focused on innovation, quality and efficiency in programming and process.
• Drive planning and implementation of essential and new editor/tool features.
• Support discipline teams with technical implementation of engine, tools and source control.
• Define and lead product optimization, performance profiling and runtime efficiency efforts across all disciplines and product.
• Anticipate technological advances and industry trends and adapt where necessary with robust, actionable solutions that foster product innovation
Qualifications
• 10 years of technical leadership with multiple shipped AAA titles within the game industry.
• Expert in video game technology, optimization, development and virtual reality technology.
• Experience building and delegating teams of technical experts.
• Ability to predict and solve complex technical development issues on a product-wide scale
• Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine 4, Blueprint system and text-based scripting languages.
• Strong leadership qualities and capabilities.
• Self-motivated with drive for excellence.
• Excellent written, verbal and team communication skills.
• Expert knowledge of C , Unreal Engine networking, and game server sharding
• Expert knowledge in optimization of applications across multiple consoles, PC and mobile
• Experience for designing and implementing a CI/CD automated build and test system using Jenkins or similar
• 5 years of managing direct engineering reports
