
Senior Director, Video Archiving and Restoration

The Sr. Director, Video A&R will serve as a key leader in preserving, enhancing, and delivering. This role will partner across teams to ensure iconic artist content is restored, optimized, and brought to audiences in compelling new ways while supporting current campaigns and long-term catalog growth.
What you'll do:
• Role model SMG’s Global People Promise, Values and Behaviors in all that you do, helping to drive a sustainable high-performance culture within our business
• Lead the evaluation, restoration, and repurposing of catalog video assets to maximize commercial and audience engagement opportunities across digital, streaming, broadcast, and physical formats.
• Deliver DVDs, Blu-ray products, and old and new assets properly formatted for platform partners (TVOD, AVOD, PBS, YouTube/Front Row, etc.).
• Develop strong partnerships with the marketing, visual A&R, content, and archives teams to edit and deliver all archived video content for use in marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate with the release planning on the restoration and delivery of all archived shortform content (for YouTube, DSP’s, etc.).
• Serve as a subject matter expert on video formats, delivery specifications, and evolving platform requirements, providing guidance to cross-functional teams and external vendors
Who you are:
• 15 years of experience in video production, post-production, catalog management, media operations, or a related field within the entertainment industry.
• A deep understanding of video restoration, archival content workflows, digitization, formatting, and delivery requirements across physical and digital platforms.
• Strong working knowledge of video editing, media asset management systems, metadata standards, and content distribution processes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects while balancing quality, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
• Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the integrity and quality of artist content.
• A passion for music, artist storytelling, and preserving culturally significant content for future audiences.
Salary/Benefits
$140,000 - $160,000 /year USD
