Full Time Job
The Sales team at Arista Records is responsible for maximizing the streaming and sales potential of Arista’s artists and their releases. As Manager, Editorial & Programming, you will be responsible for securing playlist and editorial support for Arista releases and fostering strong working relationships with playlist curators at all DSP partners.
Responsibilities
• Liaise with streaming account cultural and editorial teams to maximize exposure for label repertoire.
• Develop playlist strategy for artist campaigns in conjunction with label sales team.
• Communicate key information about releases and artists to streaming partners via weekly priority grids, email pitches, regular sales calls and face-to-face music presentations.
• Recap and communicate notable playlist additions and artist features to label staff.
• Analyze track and playlist data to identify opportunities for label priorities.
• Maintain label release schedule and distribute to label staff.
• Manage varied track priorities across multiple genres simultaneously.
• Foster mutually beneficial relationships with account editorial teams.
• Create compelling pitches for artists and releases to excite and engage partners.
• Interpret data to form actionable recommendations and campaign strategy.
• Collaborate with label sales team to craft successful artists campaigns.
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the streaming/editorial/playlisting field.
• Proficient knowledge of Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and other audio streaming platforms.
• Pre-developed relationships with account editorial teams.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and balance priorities.
• Passion for and extensive knowledge of multiple music genres.
• Proven experience in being proactive in identifying strategic opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on an editorial team.
• Committed work ethic.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
