Responsibilities

Photo Shoots:
• Lead process from concept to finished product for all PLG artists photoshoots
• Direct imaging, visual branding, content, and photo reviews with necessary label staff
• Lead the process for final image approval and visual branding for artists and recorded products
• Contribute to creation of overall artist imaging plans in conjunction with Creative Team, A&R, and Marketing
• Manage budget for photo shoots
• Perform imaging and design research for photographer and location scouting

Graphic Design / Design Coordination:
• Create artwork for the branding, marketing, and advertising of recorded product
• Coordinate transactions with freelance designers, print vendors and web developers by requesting and/or providing necessary artwork, logos and copy for packaging or marketing and promotional materials for recorded product
• Serve as primary contact with artists and/or management on visual branding and design concepts and communicate to Sr Art Director
• Assist with album/single cover design when necessary

Other Responsibilities:
• Maintain an awareness of current visual trends across various media platforms.
• Build and maintain good working relationships with web developers, photographers, stylists, and artist reps
• Serve as point of contact,in partnership with label Marketing Assistants, regarding contracts
• Communicate with Business Affairs staff regarding legal content issues as necessary
• Attend industry events and artist appearances as necessary
• Complete special projects or other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience in music, photography, video, design, advertising, marketing, or related field; music business experience preferred
• Proficiency with commonly used graphics software packages (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
• Proficiency in motion graphics preferred
• Experience in photo/video shoot coordination or photography assistance preferred
• Knowledge in video editing software
• Bachelor’s degree or comparable skills/ experience
• Interest in working in the Christian/Gospel music industry

The ideal candidate will have experience in photography or photo shoot production/coordination and experience as a graphic designer or working with designers, either in a workplace environment or in a freelance capacity. The ideal candidate is energized by taking an artist vision and bringing it to life. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships within the creative field. Finally, the ideal candidate will be highly invested in his or her work with a flexible, easygoing style.
