Sony Music Entertainment (SME) is now looking for a highly motivated Manager to join the Content Protection team. This position will play a vital role in SME's efforts to combat intellectual property theft and provide a unique opportunity to work on substantive intellectual property and content protection related matters. Our ideal candidate will have experience in Intellectual Property (IP) enforcement and an interest in working at the intersection of music, emerging technologies, and copyright law.
What you'll do:
• Negotiate and draft NDAs, trial agreements, and service agreements in support of SME's content protection efforts
• Draft correspondence and other written materials, including editing and reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Prepare and administer Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notices, takedown notices, and/or cease and desist letters
• Respond to requests from SME labels, affiliates, and artist camps to address unauthorized uses of SME copyrights, trademarks, and/or other rights violations
• Work with trade organizations (e.g., RIAA, IFPI), vendors, and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) teams to support SME's content protection initiatives

Who you are:
• Must possess Juris Doctor degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 1-2 years direct or equivalent experience working in content protection, intellectual property or patent-related fields
• Proficiency in legal writing and legal research
• Highly responsive, including capacity to handle urgent requests outside regular working hours
