As Jr. Manager, Corporate & Label Communications, you will support the execution of internal and external communications initiatives for Sony Music Latin. This role plays a key part in advancing corporate communications efforts while contributing to the development and execution of publicity campaigns across a diverse roster of artists and label projects. This is a hands-on role that combines strategic support with day-to-day execution across communications and publicity initiatives.
This position reports to the VP, Corporate & Label Communications, Sony Music Latin Iberia.
What you'll do:
Corporate Communications (Internal & External)
• Support the execution of internal communications strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Assist in communicating key company initiatives, priorities, and updates across internal channels.
• Draft, edit, and distribute content for internal communications (e.g., newsletters, announcements, presentations).
• Support the development of messaging and materials for senior leadership.
• Help ensure consistency and alignment of messaging across departments and platforms.
• Partner with the Communications team to align internal and external narratives.
• Monitor feedback and engagement, helping to refine communications as needed.
• Own day-to-day coordination of internal communications calendars, timelines, and distribution.
• Provide support on crisis communications efforts when required.
Label Communications & Publicity
• Support and execute publicity campaigns for artist releases, tours, and key label initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with media across music, entertainment, and culture (print, digital, broadcast, and emerging platforms).
• Draft and distribute press materials, including press releases, media alerts, artist biographies, and promotional assets.
• Assist in pitching media and securing coverage, interviews, and features.
• Coordinate and manage press opportunities such as interviews, appearances, showcases, and events.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and internal teams to support campaign execution.
• Manage day-to-day coordination of press outreach, schedules, and campaign timelines.
• Assist with logistics for press activities and provide on-site support at events when needed (e.g., media days, red carpets, TV appearances, award shows).
• Track, compile, and report on media coverage and campaign performance.
Who you are:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and verbal proficiency required).
• 3-5 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field.
• Experience in music, entertainment, or publicity is a plus.
• Strong writing and editing skills in both Spanish and English, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working cross-functionally.
• Proactive, resourceful, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of the media landscape, music trends, and cultural conversations is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with tools such as PR Newswire, Meltwater, Muck Rack, or similar platforms.
