As the Facilities Manager you will serve as primary point of onsite contact for Facility team in managing day-to-day operations of Sony Music’s Culver City site, while also providing assistance to other Sony Music Los Angeles sites as needed.
What you'll do:
• Oversee daily operations of Sony Music’s Culver City site, ensuring smooth functioning of all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, etc.). Ability to effectively interact with relevant trades. Escalate any issues as needed to appropriate parties.
• Assist in coordinating preventive maintenance programs, address repairs as needed and ensure timely resolution. Additionally, manage Sony Music stakeholder requests within the space (e.g.: workstation adjustments, signage, branding, TV installs, etc.)
• Work with Sony Pictures services providers for the performance of janitorial, security and maintenance needs. Support security protocols; access related needs such as ID cards and liaise with security teams as needed.
• Ensure workplace, sustainability, energy management and workplace safety measures are followed.
• Manage and liaise with General Contractors and stakeholders in office space planning, furniture arrangements and facility related projects, such as moves or renovations. Support any stakeholder events from a facility perspective.
• Ensure any facility related expenditures are accurately charged and booked. Maintain facility records, generate reports and assist in policy documentation.
Who you are:
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in facilities management
• Familiar with aspects with good facility management practices, ability to read and understand real estate leases
• Critical thinking, independent problem solver, with strong sense of urgency and bias for taking action
• Flexible, ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with iOffice, Freshservice, CoStar, and Basware software preferred, or similar systems.
• Efficiency in Microsoft Excell, Word, and PowerPoint required
• Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities and timely escalate to the appropriate person
• An excellent communicator and enthusiastic collaborator who works well with team members, external partners, and senior management
