As Director, Marketing at Provident Entertainment, you will play a key role in leading the marketing and branding direction for our incredible roster of artists & songs by developing innovative and effective marketing campaigns to deliver music to fans. Your time will be spent heavily on developing a creative vision and strategy for your assigned artist roster, resulting in increased music consumption, fan engagement and audience development. This role requires interaction with members of senior management and other high-level internal and external contacts.
What you'll do:
• Lead the thought and creation of branding strategy for assigned artists and projects, with an ongoing analysis of market conditions and marketing plan effectiveness.
• Create dialogue and collaborate with internal teams to design unique consumer-focused campaigns that support the growth of songs and artists.
• Oversee the strategic use of assigned marketing resources including budgets and in-house creative assets.
• Act as primary marketing liaison for assigned artist roster to internal teams and external partners, and in turn, develop and lead effective meetings that produce strategies, ideas and teamwork.
• Design strategy for assigned artists with consistent release planning, marketing campaigns and touring.
• Strategize release planning and anticipate project needs in advance of deadlines.
• Research and apply unique marketing opportunities to help support an artist brand.
Who you are:
• A people, idea and opportunity “connector” in the Christian / Gospel / Worship music industry with at least 5 years of marketing and branding experience (preferably obtained through label experience)
• A team player who has prior experience working with Christian/Gospel/Worship music and its consumers and the ability to work with artists in various genres and consumer bases
• A creative trust builder with strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to think strategically by pulling together information to form a plan, develop goals around that plan, and propel others toward those defined goals
• An agile thinker who can consciously shift priorities and focus areas when and how the situation requires it, showing an adaptability to pivoting thoughts, plans and processes
• An enthusiastic collaborator with demonstrated creative experience, including campaign oversight and team leadership in a creative arena, who is also able to effectively lead meetings, thoughtfully lead, guide and influence internal and external partners
• A motivating leader willing to unite teams and carve a path into uncharted territories
