As a Coordinator, Sync for Ultra Records, you’ll work at the intersection of music and stories. We place the world’s most iconic music into every type of visual media imaginable. In this role, you will provide administrative support to the Ultra Records sync department. You will be the foundation that empowers our team to place Ultra’s recordings into all types of content. If you are passionate about everything that is happening in the media industry, and if your knowledge of music and hunger to learn about the music business is what gets you out of bed in the morning, we need you, your love of details, and your expert organizational skills to help us succeed.
What you'll do:
• Enter all relevant details for a high volume of music clearances into a database, and track the evolving details of each deal from beginning to end as quickly and efficiently as possible
• Maintain records of licensing activity, compile and organize assets across Disco and Box, create licensing reports, updating contact lists
• Assist in pitching efforts by assembling playlists, identifying label priorities, building presentations, editing highlight reels, and tracking pitches/projects
• Provide assets and information (like audio files, label copy, credits, and ownership details) both to external clients and internal colleagues, in a pro-active and anticipatory manor
• Coordinate confirmations, licensing, invoicing, crediting, asset delivery, etc.
• Research song info and approval process in PROs
• Create marketing tools such as email blasts and invitations
• Participate in department meetings with artists and managers to coordinate licensing strategy and brand partnershps
• Seek new opportunities in all entertainment fields for music licensing and for artist/label partnerships
Who you are:
• You have completed 2-3 internships or have 1-2 years experience in a coordinator role at a label, publisher, library, music supervision house, network, or studio.
• You want to be on the inside of where it all happens in music and media industries, and you have demonstrated the pursuit of that goal with hobbies, internships, or professional pursuits.
• In your network, no one knows more about music, and you love being the first to know about a new movie, video game, or TV series. You love going to see live music!
• You are a clear and effective communicator.
• You are a highly-organized person that pays close attention to the details and pro-actively takes initiative to assist the team.
• You are hungry to learn and grow. You are curious, ask questions, and get excited about new projects.
