Full Time Job
The Label Copy Senior Coordinator will work alongside A&R Administration, Marketing, and the Copyright teams to research and compose label copy for all Sony Music Masterworks repertoire and projects. The Label Copy Senior Coordinator will ensure label copies are updated and approved as needed to assure expedited clearances and payments are rendered. Position will be located in the New York Office and report to the Associate Director, Release Planning.

Responsibilities
• Oversee all Sony Music Masterworks Label Copy that is set up out of the New York office and the assignment of project and product #’s for all promotional or commercial single tracks, albums, videos and digital-only products
• Enter Label Copy data into GRAS (Global Repertoire Asset System)
• Set up new Projects for A&R Administration as requested
• Work directly with A&R Administration and Marketing teams to receive compliant delivery of complete and accurate information, generate ISRC codes
• Organize delivery of video files and materials and set up label copy for video assets
• Field all requests for AOMA asset download links and promo tool exports.
• Establish copyright clearances in DRA
• Process all Gratis orders
• Manage DJ promo distribution setup in RPS and sends orders to NY for processing
• Update systems with any metadata/configuration changes
• Work with and support GRAS group on any label copy clean-up projects
• Identify discrepancies & assess revisions on a rolling basis to identify updates, and document in GRAS
• Determine and document publishing entities and publishing splits as applicable
• Route publishing information to mechanical licensing and royalties departments
• Proofread CD, vinyl, and cassette packages accurately against label copy documents
Qualifications
• 1-2 years prior exposure to copyright administration, music publishing, label copy set up, metadata standards and guidelines
• Knowledge of common concepts, practices and procedures within the record business and music licensing
• Excellent computer skills with strong background in Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, responding to issues promptly with a strong orientation toward customer service and team work
• Self-motivated and able to complete tasks independently
• Strong time management skills, including prioritization and follow through
• Detail oriented, well organized and focused
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, safeguard confidential information
• Interest in classical, neo-classical, or Broadway music a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
