Full Time Job
Responsible for reaching out to customers to collect payment for overdue invoices. Acts as the liaison between billing teams, labels and customers. Manages overdue accounts.
Working Relationships
This position will also work closely with all department staff plus the Sync Licensing team, Royalty Department and the RED Music Marketing teams. Additionally, the position will work closely with the AR team to review unidentified cash and correct postings.
Responsibilities
• Analyze current collection processes, and reengineer to enhance efficiency and improve DSO. Work with GOLD IT team to incorporate system enhancements
• Forecast and manage monthly collection objectives
• Contact customers via phone and email for collection resolution
• Liaise with corporate cash management team to identify and apply payments
• Provide customer service regarding billing queries, process and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and manage settlements
• Analyze and prepare SAP journal entries as needed
• Responsible for monitoring/reducing delinquency for assigned accounts
• Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable/Credit Department
• Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management teams when necessary to accelerate the collection process
• Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers and sales teams
Qualifications
• Minimum 4 year college degree; 2 years of comparable work experience
• Computer literacy; Outlook, Excel, Word
• Knowledge of billing and collections procedures; accounts receivable knowledge/experience a plus
• Solid organizational, research, analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities; skills to develop strong relationships with all levels of management
• Disciplined self-starter with a can-do attitude; proactive, resourceful, collaborative team player; detail-oriented with strong follow-through skills
• Some accounting experience preferred; experience with SAP a plus
• Strong commitment to excellent customer service
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and meet deadlines
