Full Time Job
The Global Business Office (GBO) of Sony Music Entertainment's Global Finance function drives transformation initiatives and special projects across Sony Music. As part of the GBO, you will lead the identification, and be fully accountable for the development and implementation of various types of improvements to Sony Music's Global processes. You will build strong partnerships across business units including stakeholders, process owners, and operational staff, to drive process improvement delivery and results. You will collaborate within and across Business Office and Process leads for solicitation of input and feedback, testing of recommendations and overseeing implementation conducted by other leads as a result of recommendations.
What you'll do:
• Support major projects from end-to-end, starting with inception and strategic design through to overseeing and delivering the implementation
• Lead small initiatives independently
• Responsible for assigned end-to-end project deliverables, including business cases, cost/benefit assessments, process documentation, metrics, meeting presentations, etc.
• Assist business leaders and process owners with identifying, scoping, and financially justifying
process improvement projects that align with the company's vision and strategy
• Work closely with GBO leadership to identify strategic projects, improvement ideas, and potential risks
• Collaborate on the development and implementation of global solutions to optimize transactional processes, standardize working processes and leverage best practices
• Promote and support a continuous improvement culture across the business. Challenge current working practices and systems to maximize opportunities for process improvement
• Identify improvement opportunities using multiple techniques such as process and data analysis, root-cause analysis, metrics and internal/external feedback
• Build strong working relationships to influence and facilitate collaboration across departmental boundaries
• Assess processes to determine how to eliminate rework, reduce handoffs, increase automation, improve quality, improve efficiency, strengthen controls, reduce costs and improve the ability to deliver desired services or outputs
• Lead or support business workshops and meetings, document clear actions and enable timeline achievement
• Gather, report and analyze key service performance indicators
• Provide process improvement subject matter expertise to business partners
• Assist in setting up standard working practices and process improvements using continuous improvement techniques
Who you are:
• Knowledge of process transformation practices (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma)
• Experienced in Business Process Management tools
• Strong skills in MS Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project)
• Strong interpersonal and influence management skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage stakeholder groups with varying objectives
• Business and IT savvy with ability to liaise between Business Units and SME IS&T
• Facilitation skills of process improvement meetings
• Experienced in organizational design and business transformation methods and techniques
• Experienced in SLA development, monitoring, and management information reporting
• Excellent project management skills
• Experience in developing working procedures
• Ability to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and build relationships
• Ability to periodically travel domestically and internationally

• The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $120k to $140k. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job
