As Associate Director, Label Analytics, you will be the primary analytics lead for
You will utilize a range of data sources in generating analyses to evaluate track, album and artist performance, inform release strategies, understand artist audiences, identify growth opportunities, assess campaign performance, share competitive/industry insights, and support the data needs of the labels.
In collaboration with other members of the Insights & Reporting team, you will also be tasked with developing new reports, tools/dashboards methodologies that adapt with the ever-evolving needs of the industry and leverage ongoing innovation across technology.
What you'll do:
• Serve as a key voice of data at the label, evolving the way data is utilized to make strategic decisions at the highest levels within the Nashville Provident labels.
• Evaluate the performance of tracks, albums and artists by digging into detailed consumer data, social insights, charts, audience, and streaming data to inform executive level decision making for all label repertoire.
• Respond to a large volume of ad-hoc analytics requests by leveraging a robust suite of internal & external data analytics tools, generating insights across new releases, artist audiences, commercial strategies, competitive campaigns and more.
• Lead the execution and presentation of recurring daily weekly analyses, including release forecasting, consumption reports, industry trends, artist audience reports, and label-specific meetings.
• Assist in transitioning existing reports and analyses to new internal platforms technology partners, including finding ways to drive increased efficiencies with AI.
• Serve as the primary data expert for the label, understanding data sources and systems to ensure data integrity and report accuracy, working with technology teams to resolve technical data issues and implement enhancements to data systems, and championing data education across the label.
Who you are:
• Minimum 7 years of experience working with data
• Expertise working with relational databases and writing SQL. Python experience preferred.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Streamlit or Sigma
• Experience with Alteryx preferred
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills – ability to identify trends in large datasets, display creativity in problem solving, and generate new ideas
• Strong ability to communicate insights to label executives and key stakeholders – orally, in writing, and in presentations
• Possess a strong collaborative and “customer service” mentality to ensure the needs of labels and senior management are met in a timely and satisfactory manner
• Passion for music and desire to build a career in the industry
