Full Time Job
The Commercial team at Legacy Recordings oversees account sales and marketing for the Sony catalog. As an Associate Director, Account Manager you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships at all levels of the account specifically to playlist curation and label relations.
Responsibilities
• Directly responsible for the Spotify and YouTube Accounts
• Develop strong relationships across multiple areas within the accounts, including content/editorial, product marketing, sponsorship, operations, reporting, executive levels, and related 3rd party service providers.
• Lead frequent pitch calls and business presentations with the accounts
• Drive new business initiatives with the account to maximize sales, streams and exposure for artists
• Idea generator for creative executions with accounts on market leading innovative activations involving catalog artists
• Work closely with streaming marketing and playlisting teams to create holistic plans for the account
• In concert with, VP of Digital Sales and the Marketing team prioritize long term major artists and campaign strategy for U.S. key releases
• Responsible for account relationship, growth, revenue, streams
• Handle day-to-day responsibilities for International communication of release priorities with the aim to sell more products globally and work with the accounts a more holistic way
• Educating divisions of the company on account initiatives, priorities, playlisting strategy, new technologies & best practices
• Share insight, analysis, and recommendations with accounts to improve our mutual businesses
Qualifications
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience post college
• Enthusiasm about working in the music industry
• Experience as a genre specialist preferred
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Knowledge and relationships with accounts a plus
