Sony Music Masterworks is seeking an Assistant, Digital Marketing to contribute to the social media and streaming strategy of the Masterworks team. The day-to-day core responsibility will focus on increasing consumption, audience development and engagement around the Sony Masterworks and Masterworks Broadway label brands, artists, and catalog.
Responsibilities
• Research, gather, plan and post compelling content on Masterworks label’s socials, websites, and email newsletters
• Write short form copy for the website, social channels, advertising, landing pages, and other campaign assets
• Creation and/or implementation of label and artist content and editorial calendars
• Prepare and supply social media posting calendars for content releases to artists and/or their representatives, as well as film, television and theater partners
• Maintain digital assets (linkfires, video descriptions, etc.)
• Set up new VEVO channels, create and maintain YouTube playlists
• Fulfill social media whitelisting requests for artists and project partners
• Design and execute contesting for exposure and audience growth and capture, using digital tools and partnerships
• Attend and contribute to all relevant internal company meetings and provide colleagues with timely feedback and follow-up
• Prepare and distribute regular status reports
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, preferably in marketing, communications or business
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Social Media Obsessed: demonstrated knowledge of and professional experience with social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
• Understanding of key social media platforms and digital service providers
• Personable and actively emerged in music culture and its consumption across multiple channels
