Overview
As Analyst, A&R Administration, you will be responsible for the ''day-to-day'' administration of assigned artist recording projects, including overseeing recording budgets. This position works closely with various departments such as A&R, Business & Legal Affairs, Finance and Video Production as well as artist management/attorneys in handling all ''non-creative'' aspects of the recording process. You will also provide support by reviewing artist/producer royalty statements, tracking and summarizing contractual options, and preparing financial analyses.
What You'll Do
• Monitor recording budgets of assigned artists as well as issue purchase orders (POs) and process invoices for travel, studio bookings, equipment rentals and other recording costs
• Prepare producer declarations, video production and remix agreements.
• Review and approve artist/producer royalty statements.
• Assist with financial analysis and preparation of various senior management reports
• Correspond with A&R, Release Planning, management, producers, engineers, etc. regarding day to day matters of budgets, payments and other issues.
• Perform special ad hoc projects upon request.
Who You Are
• At least 2 years of related work experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting preferred
• A professional with strong research and analytical skills
• A strong communicator with proficiency in Microsoft Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams)
• Preferably someone with knowledge of studio operations
