Sony Pictures Imageworks is looking for a Training Department Coordinator to assist the Production Trainers in the day-to-day tasks of the department. This role works directly with the trainers to plan training schedules, helps new artists get acclimated to the studio and their show and facilitates any and all training needs throughout the studio.
In addition, IPAX, the Sony Pictures Imageworks educational outreach program also is supported by this role. Duties includes organizing and planning of internships, scholarship, career fairs and studio tours and travel planning.
Qualifications:
• strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• proficient in use of database and office applications such as filemaker, MS Office, google docs & keynote
• excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• have ability to schedule sessions & meetings across multiple departments
• must be able to work alone or with a team
• must be pro-active and anticipate any upcoming tasks or potential issues
• effective problem solving
• competently maintain tracking data
Responsibilities include:
• schedule weekly training calendar for 3 trainers and show based training
• manage artists' training schedules
• assist shows and other departments to schedule any training needs
• keep track of online resources usage and prioritize access
• monitor and maintain artists billing to training
• liaise with external vendors on any department needs
• network with partner schools to strengthen the company's educational outreach program
• handle fix requests and follow-up on training equipment maintenance
• schedule, plan and execute studio tours & school presentations
• manage internship and scholarship application and acceptance process
• maintain educational outreach website content with in-house developer
