Experienced Lighter
Job Description:
Designs and implements lighting of characters and environments for assigned shots that meet and enhance the given art direction for a production. Able to light multiple types of scenes from simple to moderately difficult. Compositing experience required. Ensures that assigned shots fit the continuity of the sequence. Develops solutions and techniques that meet art/technical direction. Has a clear vision of how art/technology should function. Accountable for meeting productivity and quota targets. Interacts with supervisors/peers to exchange information relevant to the show or sequences.
Requirements:
Knowledge of Katana, Maya, Linux, UNIX and scripting ability in relevant languages including MEL, Perl and Python highly desirable. Knowledge of Renderman shading, volume rendering and raytracing experience preferred. Knowledge of relevant compositing software including Nuke is preferred. Minimum requirement of 3 years production experience or feature film experience preferred.
Please note that you must be able to provide a demo reel that illustrates your relevant artistic and technical experience that also includes the nuances for this specific role.
