The IT Asset Management Specialist is responsible for leading all aspects of the organization's IT assets and ensuring their accurate use, maintenance, and disposal. This includes the tracking and inventory of all IT assets, as well as the management of software licenses and contracts. This role will also work closely with other departments to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Primary areas of responsibility will include:
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for the management of IT assets, including hardware and software
• Create and maintain accurate inventory records of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses
• Monitor and track the use of IT assets to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
• Coordinate the purchase, deployment, and disposal of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses with the procurement team
• Support the renewal of software licenses and contracts
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
• Analyze and report on IT asset usage and costs to senior management
Preferred Skills:
• 3 years of proven experience in IT asset management or a related field
• Strong understanding of IT asset management standard processes and principles
• Experience with IT asset management software and tools
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is a plus
• Knowledge of IT security standard processes and regulations
