This position of Senior Accountant is member of Sony/ATV's Corporate Finance team dedicated to the consolidation, financial reporting and other finance-related deliverables relating to D.H. Publishing, L.P.
The position of Senior Accountant calls for strong business awareness, analytic skills, organization, communication and comprehension of US GAAP and IFRS.
This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Finance and include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following responsibilities:
Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls over the corporate accounting function
Assist with monthly close, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and management reporting
Analyze actual results and prepare monthly and quarterly financial statement variance analyses versus Forecast, Budget and Prior Year
Liaise regularly with international Finance Directors on various accounting, reporting and/or planning matters
Assist in the preparation of various analytical reports for use by upper Management
Strong working knowledge of current US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, IFRS and emerging issues
Maintain corporate accounting policies and procedures manual
Assist in complying with requests from third-parties such as D.H. Publishing, D.H. Publishing's independent auditors and D.H. Publishing's tax specialists.
Other one-off projects and assignments
Three to four years public accounting experience and CPA preferred
Strong working knowledge of Excel preferred
Experience with consolidation and financial reporting systems, particularly SAP BPC is a plus
