Sony/ATV in Nashville is seeking candidates for the position of North American Copyright Coordinator.
The North American Copyright Coordinator will have the following responsibilities:
Administration of label copy requests with record companies
Confirmation of song details to other departments (e.g. licensing) and affiliate offices.
Analyzing the activity of new deals, creating discographies and sending Letters of Direction to income sources.
Assist department staff with special projects, and other duties as assigned
Client estate & heir matters
Coordination of song adaptation and translation request
Coordination of song deliveries with the creative/A&R Staff
Document imaging
Resolution of song disputes with non-controlled interested parties
Name & likeness approvals
Provide regular task status report to supervisor
Registration of songs with US Copyright Office in Washington, DC.
Royalty closeout period reviews
Day-to-day creation and maintenance of Nashville originating song/client/contract data and information.
A qualified candidate must possess the following skills and attributes:
Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working in a ''customer service'' oriented environment
Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy while handling multiple tasks
Ability to manage and prioritize a large volume of work
Ability to prioritize and complete all tasks in the allotted time frame
Ability to set their own goals, while working within departmental goals
Computer systems literate - proficiency in the use of MS Word and Excel
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work constructively with different personalities
Flexible and able to work under the pressure of multiple deadlines
Knowledge and experience in music publishing administration.
