Part Time Unpaid Internship
Sobini is looking for a development intern.

Sobini, formed in 2001, is a Los Angeles based independent film and television production and financing company. Sobini has a strong record of making quality movies including J.T. LEROY starring Kristen Stewart and Laura Dern, MILES AHEAD starring Don Cheadle and Ewan McGregor, and Paramount's 2004 hit THE PRINCE & ME. Sobini's management team has substantial and comprehensive experience in the entertainment industry.

Sobini produces projects with varied budgets and a flexible financing model that can combine studio money and distribution deals, independent equity, and foreign sales. Our diverse slate of movies include movies across all genres, including action, suspense, comedy, and Oscar contenders with award-winning directors. Our upcoming projects include BEAUTY, a co-production with Academy Award-nominated producer David Permut, with Yen Tan (1985) directing, an untitled feature project from MacArthur Genius Grant recipient Alex Rivera, and an adaptation of the novel Perfectly Parvin by writer/director Maryam Keshavarz.

Responsibilities:
- Review scripts, decks, or other creative material submitted to the company
- Write in-depth coverage on scripts, decks, or other creative material submitted to the company
- Prepare written and verbal creative notes/feedback for projects currently in development
- Assist in creating decks or other creative materials for projects currently in development as applicable
- Find available IP and submit rights inquiries
- Perform various research tasks as applicable
- Attend creative meetings as applicable (notes sessions, generals, pitches, etc.)
- Attend weekly internship discussion meetings

Requirements:
- Although our internship program can be remote (students can apply from anywhere), please be aware that this intern will report into a Los Angeles-based manager and therefore should expect to work on pacific standard time.
- Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student. Proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship.
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States?
