The New York Operations Assistant is one of the ''go-to'' employees for support in the New York office. The Operations Assistant helps run daily operations along with the other Operations staff. On any given day, the Operations Assistant may interface with many people, ranging from artists and leaders in advertising and entertainment to building and maintenance vendors. Responsibilities can range from last-minute runs for directors or executives to troubleshooting technical problems in time-sensitive circumstances.
The Operations Assistant is a member of the Operations team, which supports executives, directors and senior employees, as well as freelance production teams working in our office. Tasks are often deadline-driven and it is the responsibility of the Operations Assistant along with the rest of Operations to meet those deadlines. Communication, teamwork and an upbeat demeanor are vital. Must be willing to work additional hours on occasion. The Operations department is an integral part of the company and is heavily relied upon. The person in this position may also be required to perform other duties as assigned.
SAMPLE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Go on runs as needed
Regulate, restock, and reorder supplies
Provide technical support
Ensure the tidiness of the office
Assist in event planning and decoration
Facilitate with and support awarded projects
Independently resolve minor issues as they arise
Act as ''right hand'' of Operations Manager and a leader, and mentor to Interns
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Self-management skills, organization, patience, and a positive attitude
Ability to take direction and act decisively
Interest in production
Excellent phone manner and people skills
Apple hardware and software, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Editing skills, Interest/Skills in Social Media

Phone systems and IT knowledge
