Full Time Paid Internship
The Spring 2020 Digital Partner Marketing intern will learn the life-cycle of launching a show with DTO partners and will become familiar with the various ways our content is pitched, delivered, and marketed on our various partner platforms. Intern will also have the opportunity to shadow other employees on the team, should they desire to learn about a different related area of the digital business (for example: social media, creative, editorial, etc.).
The Spring 2020 Digital Partner Marketing intern will be involved and responsible for, but not limited to, the following projects:
• Assist with the day-to-day operations of partner relationship management and asset delivery workflow, focusing mainly on our DTO business and also assisting where needed on Smithsonian Channel Plus marketing efforts.
• Perform weekly spot checks of partner platforms to ensure our products are displayed accurately and communicating any issues to supervisor.
• Capture screenshots and record dates/placements of partner promotions for tracking and analysis.
• Research and pull together information for priority shows.
• Work with Social Media team to request and create copy and creative for weekly posts driving to DTO partner stores.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Current undergraduate student (rising junior or above)
• Strong Interest in the Cable/Entertainment Industry
• 2.50 GPA or above
• Submission of a cover letter - required
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work and prioritize work assignments
• Able to provide administrative support as needed
• Ability to work 21 hours per week from January 2020 to May 2020
Preferred:
• Cable television experience a plus
• Active participation in extracurricular activities; clubs; and/or associations. Leadership positions while maintaining an above-average GPA, a plus
• Prior internship experience in a related field, a plus
